About Nicole

My name is Nicole Seidler and I am a full-time art teacher along with being a professional artist. I was born and raised in Merrill, WI then moved to Menomonie, WI, to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin - Stout. Being an art educator has been a significant dream of mine. I have always had a great passion for art and education which led me to become an art educator. Choosing art education as a career path has provided me with the ability to share my passion for art with young minds so they can grow and appreciate the creative process.

I am currently the art teacher at Menomonie High School and live in Eau Claire, WI with my boyfriend. In 2022 we bought a house and have been enjoying life together.

Recently, I have decided to pursue a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis on art from Minnesota State University - Moorhead. Through this process, I re-discovered the importance of creating as a professional artist outside of teaching. A goal of mine is to continue growing as an artist and to produce a body of artwork I can share with others.

I have experience with a wide variety of different mediums. Through my practice with many different materials, some of my favorites are oil paint, watercolor, charcoal, and clay. My primary concentration, however, is on pottery. I enjoy throwing on the pottery wheel and creating functional 3-dimensional vessels that can be utilized in everyday life.
